Christmas!

We had a great Christmas, but no pics to display as I dropped my camera on the floor and can't seem to get it to work, turn on or download the pics. I'll keep working on it. Just wanted to let you know that we will be MIA for about a week as the movers get here tomorrow!

Vacation home?

We are now the proud owners of 2 homes. We are considering keeping one as our vacation home! Our closing in ****** went off without any problems; in fact, we were there for less than 20 minutes. We took possession of the house on Monday. My mom and I are heading up on Thursday early to clean and get things ready. We are taking the boys with us for 2 days; don't you think we'll get a lot done? I am heading to the store to buy some energy drinks for me...that woman can work and I fear that I won't be able to move when I return to Pratt!

Merry Christmas and WWJD?

Merry Christmas!

Remember how the What Would Jesus Do saying was so popular a few years back? I was thinking, you know, since Christmas really should be all about remembering the birth of our Savior instead of all the commercialized stuff, I am not going to sweat the Christmas cards. They'll come, maybe before Christmas, maybe after (don't you love the element of suprise that I add to everything?)...but I was thinking, hmmm What Would Jesus Do when my Christmas card arrived well after Christmas (and possibly even a move!)...He'd understand so I don't want to hear any "really, she stays at home, what does she do all day? Surely she can get the cards out on time" comments. Tis the season!

Oh and we got our Christmas presents early this year...like on April 10th!

Thanksgiving pics

Here the boys are intently watching the toy train that is now set up at Poppa Gary's house. I am sure this is just one of the many incidents in our future that will endear the grandparents to our children and make us 2nd-class citizens!!!!

Thanksgiving Day, headed over to Uncle Jeff's house

Ice Storm!

Pratt was hit with an ice storm. We lost power on and off throughout Monday night. Our power was restored about 715 AM Tuesday. We talked with several friends and their power was out so we invited everyone to head over to our house.

We had a bunch of kids running through the house like crazy-people and the adults all hung out and visited. We made lunch and wouldn't you know it...about 1230 PM, we lost our power, too!!! Thankfully, though, we already had our emergency kit put together with margaritas and snack foods. So, the kiddos were sent to play after lunch and adults had a drink and played some games.

Our power was back up by about 8 pm last night and we were so thankful! We had a great day with our friends. Here are a few pics...don't worry, the boys were home with us, they were napping (even through the chaos) while we snapped a few photos!

***By the way, you know the ice storm was bad if Pratt USD 382 canceled school 2 days in a row....that's unheard of for this district!!!!***

It's Official...

We have sold our house and have set a date for moving. Last night, a great young couple put a contract on our house. We were excited and they are thrilled...very nice people.

Movers for Monsanto called this morning and said by their calculation, it will take 2 days to pack us up and 2 days to load our stuff. WHAT??? I checked to make sure they hadn't gone to my mom's house because I can't imagine what we have to take 4 days to get us loaded up. I scratched my head and thought, geez if it would take 4 days to pack us up, how long would take my parents. But, thankfully, Dad has said that their new home will be it until his "final resting place". Wait a second, though, I AM going to have to go through all that um, "stuff" they have when he does go to his "final resting place"!

Anyways, we are set to be gone from Pratt by 12/30. Jereme didn't think he could top last year's outstanding New Year's Eve celebration. You know, wife pg with twins wants to stay at home, eat, watch a movie and fall asleep by 9 pm. But, not to fear, he will top that this year as Monsanto will be unloading and unpacking us on the 31st. So, you guessed it...we'll be putting things away in our new home on New Year's this year. Free booze for anyone wanting to come help (or keep 2 9-month olds).
