I'd post a pic...

but, that sweet baby boy of mine helped destroy a brand-spanking new camera with a glass of water. Although, there might be hope. It's been in a bag of rice for a week and today it actually started to click on and said I needed a new battery. So, dear sister of mine is sending one my way. One can only hope!!! On the downhill slide of the three weeks from hell travel schedule Jereme has!

Just a couple cute things the boys have said.

Isaac: Momma, when you get old like my daddy, then maybe you want to drink coffee but right now, you are young and daddy is old. (LOVE THAT BOY)

Jorden: Momma, thank you so much for taking us to the sprint car (midget) races tonight. Thank you for letting us have so much fun and such a great day. (MELT MY HEART)

The little boys are such talkers. Non-stop. And, if you aren't listening to Isaac, he will put both hands on your face, turn your head towards him and MAKE you listen to him. And, if you want to hear the sweetest sound ever from them, ask them to sing "Jesus loves me". Gotta get that on video. I pray that their little voices singing is forever etched in my memory.

And the rule-breaking continues...

Are there really any rules by the time you get to child number 3? Luke-baby is in the process of polishing off almost an entire peanut butter and honey sandwich, both of which are big no-nos before a year. But, he's ecstatic about his lunch. And, isn't that what's important, right? Peanut allergy...nah, surely not. Botulism? Really, what are the odds???

Green Monster trying to rear his ugly head...

Man, oh man. Jereme is headed to the Gulf this week and rented a Suburban to take a group of guys down there. We headed over to Salina to pick it up. Whew, it was a sweet ride and I got to drive it all alone. I could get really used to driving that thing with plenty of room, leather, all the bells and whistles. I totally get that my rocking-cool-minivan doesn't have many (does it have any??) features on it, but this thing had acceleration-controlled radio!!! It turned up when I accelerated and would gradually turn down as I came to stops. I was super-duper impressed. And, it was super easy to start imagining myself in that thing with the three stinkers in the back.

And, then, I remembered my little friend called Dave. Dave Ramsey, that is. He was whispering all the way home to me that if I can't pay cash then I don't want it. I don't? I was pretty sure I did. I pulled in and caught Jereme's eye as I got out. He could read my mind without me saying a word. This is what he said, "Babe, it'll be all the more sweet when we can buy it the right way!"

That is one of 3,032 reasons why I love that guy. He's willing to stand with me against what the world is screaming. God knows it's screaming to finance this, swipe your credit card here, same as cash for this new thingymabob. And, he's also willing to remind me when I start letting that envy monster rear his head.

So, c'mon fellow Ramsey-lovers (or no consumer debt people/cash people!), give a shout out and remind this girl why this (dings in the doors, back-hatch handle missing, stains, rips and 6 month old french fries all included):

is my dream car!

Okay, okay, okay.

Jereme wants me to make sure and point out that the picture I posted was from like 1990/1991 when he was in 8th grade or so. There you go.

And, I shall point out (and hopefully prove soon when I find a picture) that he was a Senior in 1994/1995 and was still rocking out the mullet. And, also for the record he did not get perms...it's all natural curl, baby!

10 Years!

**Our scanner isn't working so had to do the screwball way of getting these old pics online. Sorry for the quality, which I am sure is just shocking considering how quality my pictures normally are.**

Please note how thoroughly joyful Jereme is about marrying me. He insists that even though he looks miserable in all our "formal" wedding pictures that it wasn't b/c he was marrying me. It was b/c some family members weren't timely in getting to the church. I don't know...

10 years ago today, Jereme and I were married on a wicked-hot July afternoon. We had no idea what we were doing. We also had no clue how hard AND how much fun marriage was going to be. In ten years, we've:

*stayed up all night partying with friends.
*stayed up all night fighting.
*stayed up all night with crying babies.

*cried.
*laughed until we cried.
*fought until we've laughed.

*experienced grief that was almost unbearable.

*been up to our eyeballs in debt.
*learned to live in freedom from debt!!

*traveled to Maine, Vegas, AZ, NY, Cancun, Houston, CO and countless KSU games/bowl games.

*bought 5 (yes FIVE!) houses and made 5 major moves, 2 of those with children.

*walked through a couple "valleys" in our marriage: dark, lonely, frustrating.
*stood in amazement as God restored our marriage from those dark days.

*experienced the profound, unexplainable and unconditional love the moment our three beautiful boys were born.

Jereme, what can I say that you don't already know? Wouldn't want to be on this crazy ride with anyone but you. You're a great man, an amazing daddy and my best friend. I love you to pieces.

And, just to see if he reads this thing, I am putting a picture that is going to make all you girls out there wild with jealousy that this man is all mine!

Are you ready?

Mullets rock! I'm going to see if I can get him to grow one again.

And,

just for the record, dieting stinks. Whoever said, "nothing tastes as good as skinny feels" was out.of.their.ever-loving.mind.

Just sayin'.

Obsession...

I am not exaggerating in any way, shape or form when I say that this child would and does play with his farm equipment for hours on end. He is happiest when he is locked away in my room with his barn, tractors, combines, drills, Mack truck, wagons, implements and no one is around. He is obsessed...but it comes straight down the line...his daddy is the same way.

Happiness is...

Between Mr. Nelson fixing my dishwasher that's been broken for 5 days and this, for what more could a girl ask? It's the little things in life like not having to wash dishes by hand and not having to work hard to sweep up our virtually-all-hardwood-floor house that make a girl dreamy-eyed.

I love you Mr. Nelson and Shark.

Haircuts

Baby boy Luke got his firsr haircut this morning with the twins. He looks like such a big boy. I couldn't bring myself to cut off all the spikey hair on top. I think it'd stand up no matter if I did anyways!!

My little firecrackers

Seriously, these three...love.them.to.pieces.

Look, look, we actually have a picture with me in it. But, that look on Luke's face! No, it's not b/c he's scared of me. It's really b/c his two brothers are about to kill each other trying to take our picture.

I've been tagged

Little Ms. Ohlde tagged me so here I go!!

1. What's my staple meal?
Depends on the season. This time of year BLTs or some variation with chips/fries, fruit and raw veggies. But, when it's even close to cool, some form of breakfast for supper...B&G, waffles/pancakes, eggs, bacon/sausage. Or let's be honest, my staple meal? Anything take-out, although that has been SEVERLY limited by moving back to Smalltown, USA.

2. What do you want to be when you grow-up?
Happy, still in love with my hubby, someone who sleeps in and reads tons of books without feeling guilty about what's not getting done and of course, momma to my 3 stinkers!

3. What book are you reading at the moment?
Sniff-sniff. I don't have one. I just got done with a Jodi Picoult book. I am listening to a J.E. Stephanie Plum on my MP3 when I run.

**Sidenote: I love exclamation marks. I realize I use them almost every other sentence. What can I say? I am an exciting chick!!!!**

4. How do you relax?
Running, ok, fine JOGGING. Reading. Essentially, I am good at relaxing doing just about anything when it doesn't involve chasing the kids. Oh, Bunco...love me some Bunco nights!

5. What color are your interior walls?
Every single wall, except 2 partials in the kitchen are khaki or off-white or beige or I don't know what you call it...neutral. It would be super fun if there was some color on the walls. But, then, someone would have to paint. And, then it wouldn't be so easy to roll my eyes when someone writes on the walls or hurls a 1/16th scale tractor down the stairs or smears their food covered face against the wall when they are sent to the corner or when someone gouges the wall with a screwdriver that they found left within reach or shall I keep going or just stop there?

6. What is your guiltiest pleasure?
It used to be watching reruns of the old-school 90210. But, now that I've completed that task, I'd probably have to say eating sweets. I'm addicted. And, it shows.

7. What time is bedtime/get up?
Bedtime: Used to be earlier. I like it to be 11 but...

Get up: Do I really have to answer this? I try to get up a few days a week and run so anywhere around 6-630ish. If not, when my kids get up...which used to blissfully be 8 or after. 7-730ish now.

8. How long do you spend reading blogs?
I plead the 5th. Jereme reads this thing sometimes. Nah, really, too much time. Depends on the day. Some days not at all. Some days a lot. Probably averages out to 20-30 min a day.

Tagging two people.
***Ok, I am tagging FOUR people. Hey, it's my blog!***
Kelli---sweet friend who I know is incredibly busy with 3 boys, too!
Beth---just met her when we moved to Smalltown and she's fun!
Krist---my friend for many years and fellow twin mom!
Karen L.---blogger, college friend who is married to my hubby's college roommate AND fellow twinner mom, too!

Ok, maybe I have a problem with commas and ellipses (spelling??), too.
