Kudos to the cabinet maker
Whoever made this cabinet drawer did an awesome job. It has to withstand 52+ lbs of little twinks on a daily basis!!
The new man of the house has arrived. BOB arrived this morning and I've never been so happy to get a package. Can't wait for the old man of the house to put this stroller together!! Please don't ask how much I spent on it...it is truly ridiculous!

Yes, we have a walker!!
I don't think I "offically" announced that we have a walker. Isaac took his first steps in life on April 11th. He is getting braver by the moment and walking all sorts of places nowadays!
I have a super cute video of him walking but I can't figure out why it won't upload...maybe later........

Nothing should suprise me anymore...
And, yet, I am still surprised often. Jereme and I called for a special pick-up from the City of ******. The City is very gracious (unlike Pratt) and will pick up extra stuff set around your trash cart. But, we had 4 very nasty twin mattresses to get rid of; I won't name names on how they arrived in our possession. Now, most of you know how incredibly frugal I am but seriously, one of the mattresses looked to have someone bludgeoned to death on it. And, considering Isaac's asthma probs we opted to get rid of them. We also had the basement carpet and padding where we recently had a minor disaster. Normally, we would've salvaged the carpet but it had old water stains on it, etc. So, I called the City and they said they would come and pick all this gross stuff up for $19.15. Heck of a deal, don't you think? So, today is the pick-up day. Jereme put out the killer mattresses, nasty carpet and other misc. junk. Now, you must know it is TRULY junk if I didn't give it away or take it to the D.A.V.
So, I just called and cancel our special pick-up. Why you ask? Because I just watched 2 guys load up ALL our trash into their pickup, strap it down and drive away. Awesome.

Can You Guess???
Here is a 4-part quiz for you on the House boys. See the bottom for answers.
1. Can you guess why we are so happy today?
2. Can you guess what we had for supper?
3. Can you guess who will win the walker race?
4. Can you guess how long this arrangement will last before someone is in tears?
Correct Answers:
1. Drs office called. Dr. R is sick today so our 1-year shots have been postponed for at least another week. Hip hip hooray!!
2. Pasta bake (That was an easy one...except our mom is a sneaky character and put spinach in the pasta this time!!!)
3. Isaac
4. Just a matter of mere seconds before Jorden pushes Isaac off which results in massive meltdowns!

Forgot something...
I was surprised to find that no one commended me on my amazing parenting skills at the KSU game on Saturday. First, I allowed my children to eat goldfish crackers off the parking lot. It was that or they would eat the rocks...hey, you choose your battles, right?
Then, the boys were completely uninterested in the dinner I packed for them. So, what did they have? Stadium hot dogs and M&Ms.

Born Wildcats!
Spent the day in Manhattan for the Spring Football game. The boys loved every minute of it. They were clapping and screaming right along with everyone else. We knew the boys were very bright but Saturday just confirmed how highly intelligent they are by cheering on the Cats! By the way, the game made many of us worrisome about this season...2008 could be a very long season...thank God for tailgating!
These 3 boys were quite the attraction at the game. Seriously, could there have been any more scantily-clad college girls oohing and ahhing over Jereme and the boys? I don't think so. But, I can see why they did!!!
We love our Tonka truck!

I have officially become...
the mother I swore I would never be.
After a big b-day party weekend, company and then basement problems (more to come on that), Jereme left town this afternoon. And, do you want to know what I fed my kids for supper? Corn dogs. That's right I fed my 1 year and 4 day old sons corn dogs and 4-day old fruit salad. Please, I already know, I won't be getting Mother of the Year 2008.

Survived the 1st Birthday Party
This is what you get when you request NO presents at your children's birthday party. Jereme and I didn't want to seem like killjoys but we have been so blessed by people's generosity already, we just wanted everyone to gather to celebrate. Seriously, we are very thankful and humbled once again by all these generous souls! Still, can you believe the insane number of toys, clothes and books????

Happy 1st Birthday, Isaac and Jorden
I find it hard to believe that one year ago, Jereme and I welcomed these boys into the world. How far we've come! Those first couple months seemed endless and then in what seems like just a blink of an eye, we're here at their one year birthday. It's a bittersweet moment...I'm sad that our boys are no longer babies but filled with joy at the healthy and vibrant little people they are becoming. Miracles, indeed!
Good morning and Happy Birthday smiles!
Getting ready to go out to eat for our birthday
Mmmmmm, fried ice cream
Hurry, faster! Stop taking bites and give it to us!
Opening presents
And, finally, the boys' favorite present of all. They can now trap Sammy and torture him to no end.

Be prepared for pics below...this is your warning!
One year ago today...
We were one day away from the birth of the boys. Jereme looks ready and needless to say I look VERY ready! By the way, Jereme made me burn those gray sweatpants after the boys were born.
Isaac says, "um, I have no idea how this happened, I am sure Jorden did it!"
Apparently we have issues with our children keeping their pants on.

A Little Bit About Me
Rules of the meme:
1. Post these rules of the game first.
2. Each player answers the questions about themselves.
3. At the end of the post, the player then tags 5 people and posts their names.

What Was I Doing 10 Years Ago
I was living in an apartment in Manhattan with 3 other girls. I was going to KSU and spending much time in Aggieville. I LOVED going to K-State and I had a blast living with those girls for 3 years.

No No! NO!!!!
I've been made aware that it's possible the reason my children do not obey my "no" is because I am too nice when I say it. Really?? I never dreamed I would be one of those moms. You know, the ones, that sing-song, "no-no, cute little boy...." But, I guess I am. So, if I bite your head off in the next week or two, you know it is because I am working on my MEAN mommy no. This will most likely come as a shock to Jereme because he is pretty sure that I already am VERY in-touch with my inner-b****!!!
(by the way, Grandpa Franklin died on April 3rd, not April 2nd. I wrote that post this morning...I won't know why it says I did yesterday???)

One year ago today...
One year ago today, Grandpa Franklin died. We've often talked of Grandpa Franklin this past year and how much he would've loved the boys. It would've killed him had we moved away, though. We already tell the boys so many stories about Franklin. We sure miss him and can't wait till he gets to meet his great-grandtwins one day!
***If I get time today, I'll get a picture of Franklin scanned in.***

New Purchase
Thought I would share with you what Jereme purchased this weekend. Just for the record our other mower is fine and in the shed. Jereme threw the bag away when we moved because it was "broken". I find 2 things interesting about this purchase.
1. Um, hate to inform Jereme but that bag has been broken for about 2 years.
2. In 8 years of marriage, Jereme has probably mowed the lawn no more than 20 times. That's right 20 times in 8 years. (But, you say, Diane, you had twins last spring. Yes, and I did mow our lawn 2 weeks after my c-section.)
I pointed out these thoughts to Jereme and his response was that he bought this "gift" for me. Ok, where was this guy when I was stomping my feet and throwing a fit about not wanting a minivan????????????????????????????????????
