But, you know what? I also take the "Do Not Remove" tags off our mattresses...gasp!
How do you fix lunch in peace? Let the children do whatever they want!

The Weekend update...
Closest I can get to both boys sitting still and smiling. C'mon, Jorden is almost smiling, or is he almost crying....well, who cares, I say he is smiling!
Let's go, daddy, get this thing rolling! (Jereme is the only one with enough muscles to pull these two toads in these hills!!!)
Who needs a gym membership? We can do weight training right here at home with our very own personal trainer!

Proof I might be adopted???
I really think I am. Most of you know that my dad is a CPA and my mom is an accountant, too. Think organized, efficient and highly-detail-oriented. Both of my sister’s work in accounting and then, well, there is me.
My extremely competent accountant (Mom) e-filed our tax return for us as she does every year. We got a nice little refund from the feds and owed the state of Kansas $14. For God’s sake, she sent me home with my payment voucher and pre-addressed envelope.
Me, in my busy world of playing with the boys, surfing the internet, avoiding housework put that little notice to the side to pay “later”. (Do you see where this is going???) Today, I opened the mailbox to find a nice thick envelope from The Department of Revenue for the State of Kansas (kind of scary-looking, to be honest). Yes, I failed to pay Kansas her dues and now owe $14.32…dang that $0.32 penalty.
I am going to make a stab in the dark guess that I will not be working in the accounting field anytime soon.

Early morning conversations...
Jereme is out of town to Monmouth, IL on Monsanto's research farm. He calls early this morning and I am thinking, "what a sweetheart, he wants to start his day talking to me!" Here is the conversation:
D: Hi! It's good to hear from you.
J: Hey, I was calling to ask what kind of stroller you have.
D: What?
J: What's the name of that new stroller you just bought?
D: Are you serious?
J: Yes.
D: It's called the BOB Revolution Duallie.
J (to someone in the background): It's the BOB Revolution Duallie. She thinks its the greatest stroller ever. (to me) Thanks, hon. Another guy and I are talking about jogging strollers and I couldn't remember the name. I'll talk to you later. {hangs up}
D: WHAT??????????????????????????????????????

The REAL Indenpendence Day...
July 11th-13th was the REAL Independence Day around here. We had freedom from our responsiblities (and little bundles of joy) this weekend. Papa and Mimi came to stay while we took a little weekend getaway. It was awesome! We left Friday after lunch and got back home today around lunch. We went to a great concert featuring Gary Allan, Keith Anderson and a whole bunch of white trash. Saturday we shopped, at a restaraunt that doesn't feature a kids menu and meal in 10 minutes and saw a movie. What sweet bliss! It was a much-needed time to converse with Jereme in segments longer than 30 seconds. But, it will never cease to amaze me how just a short amount of time (hmmmm, like maybe 30 minutes after I left the boys) can tenderize my heart towards them so much. Although we had a fabulous weekend, coming home was even better!
Big thanks to Papa Gary and Mimi Judy for giving up their weekend to play with the kids! We came home to clean laundry, clean sheets/towels, some new decorations and the boys trained on a few things that desperately needed to be done (like not knocking all the chairs over in the dining room!!!). We'll do this more often!

Snooty-town
You know you are in Snooty-town when you go the park not too far from your house for the first time and this happens. Cute little boy there. Me, being desperate for a friend, decides to make this mom my friend. I quickly realize English is not her first language. Not a prob, we ask questions about the kids, the kiddos play beautifully together. Finally, I say, "do you live around here?" She looks at me funny. I said, "is your house nearby?" She looks at me like I am crazy and says, "I am the nanny." WHOOOOOOOOOOOPS! How are you supposed to know? She acted like I was a crazy for not knowing she was the nanny! Sorry, lady, I am just a "hick" and we don't have a "Country Club Park" where I'm from!
By the way, if you find the right shoe of an Airwalk Camo Croc (size 5 1/2-6), it belongs to me. Apparently, I am oblivious when I am running with the kids (well, more accurately, gasping for breaths). Someone threw their shoe out and I didn't even realize it!

What a guy!!
Tonight was Bunco night. Jereme called me at 5 pm to let me know 2 co-workers were coming to the house with him in less than 10 minutes. YIKES, should've spent more time working on the house and less time sunning myself while the boys were in their pool. Anyways, the Monsanto men decided to take the little House boys to dinner. What a brave group and what a treat for Momma!
