Their father's sons??

It seems that the boys have a new "trick". These days, when the boys are told "no-no" about something, they look at you, grin and pull up their shirts to flash their bellies...they are certain they are SO cute. I can't decide if that comes from Jereme or my father, but I am starting to lean more towards my dad each time it happens.

We decided to kill a few days this week and visit Pratt while Jereme is out of town. I forget so easily that our children are routined, schedule-dominated children. Works out for me 95% of the time, but deviate from it and there will be hell to pay. I loved seeing so many of those sweet friends of ours and I hope they know we really aren't raising the devil's spawn...it just appeared that way for a few days!

**By the way, this is a shout-out to Jim Bob: Your son takes after his mother...he is sweet, darling and smart...he is already working to be compliant with the woman of the house. Let's see, I predicted it would take Sara 5 years to break you; she's done a heck of a job in what, less than 3 years? What a woman!!!**

These are the days...

Any mom who stays at home and tells you that it's a joy to spend each and every day at home with her children is a liar. She. Is. A. Liar.

But, in His infinite wisdom, God provides days like these that confirm and continue to convict me on why I am home. The boys have simply been a complete joy today. From waking up as little sweeties, to walking in holding each other's hands to MOPS while my arms were loaded down with food, to playing for 1.5 hours with one another with no fighting, to giggling and talking to each other for 20 minutes before falling asleep at naptime.

But, I also know that the God I serve has a great sense of humor. So, I am prepared for what tomorrow, Friday the 13th, will bring to our household. I'll wake up with my best defensive game plan prepared...

Seriously, I am scaring myself...

In addition to going out with the boys for a while this morning, I have been quite the Martha Stewart, or at least Martha Stewart for me. I completely scrubbed the bathrooms, kitchen and mopped the kitchen floor on my hands and knees. I've also baked a batch of sugar cookies and just finished icing them. Well, actually, I just finished eating 3 of them, but that's beside the point. Maybe I am channeling my mom today...I'd say she'd be proud but then she'd see the laundry room, our bedroom and basement and wonder why in the heck I am on internet.

So, on that note, these pics of the sweetest, cutest, funniest (and possibly naughtiest) boys are in honor of Grammy Judy:

Today I actually saw the ob/gyn for my first prenatal appt. He is a riot and I think we're all going to get along great. Jereme wasn't present as he was at home with the kiddos. Dr. P told me to tell Jereme, "Good job and way to go!" I told Dr. P that wasn't quite what I told Jereme when I first suspected I was pg.

He then commented on my extremely low blood pressure. (That's funny since my first doc appt with the twins reflected my already soaring blood pressure.) Anyways, Dr. P says, "Wow, great blood pressure at 108/70! Keep it up!" Obviously, as a man, he doesn't get that a trip to the gynecologist when you are a stay-at-home mom with 2 toddlers is a vacation day!!! I was loving every minute of it!
