If only...

How I wish I could get a reaction like my parents got upon arriving at our house yesterday. If it wasn't so great to see the boys that excited, I might be a wee bit jealous. My parents came up yesterday late in the day to play with the kiddos so Jereme and I could go watch KSU beat up on Mizzou (what a game!!).

Anyways, they rang the doorbell and the boys ran to the door. They could see Poppa and Grammy looking in the door. Jorden begins screaming and jumping up and down. He immediately runs to give hugs and kisses when the door opens. Isaac, when excited, is vastly different, though. He screams and runs away and makes laps through the house (kind of reminiscent of our old labrador dog, which would be fitting).

Just so you know...

I do go back and reread my posts and then I am completely embarrassed by my grammatical errors, misuse of commas, misspelled words. Maybe that's the teacher in me?? Anyways, I just want you to know that I often go back and re-edit, I am sure, after everyone has read it.

I really do know how to spell and use proper grammar...it's just sometimes when I have one child trying to rip everything out of the drawers and eat Jereme's hair gel and the other child is doing God only knows what b/c he knows I am on the internet and not paying attention, I am a little distracted to say the least. Like, for example, you might find Isaac walking around with the toliet plunger and putting it in his mouth or dumping Cheerios all over the floor and squashing them into a million pieces or even halfway inside the toliet. Ah, the price you pay for a few minutes on the internet...

Absent: Both mentally and physically!

Wow, this has been my longest break from blogging! Thanks for hanging in here with me/us! Seems like the month of January has been chock-full.

Full of:
*Family drama! (gotta love that!)
*Ornery little boys who love to make their momma crazy. They've both officially gotten out of their cribs. But, we had a little "come to Jesus" meeting with both and hope that buys us a little more time. The kiddos are saying such funny things these days, too.
*Bible studies and teaching Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University.
*Trying to figure out my new laptop that I have had for 2 weeks and still am using Jereme's consistently.

Oh, and one other small detail:

Yes, after a few weeks of being in denial and wondering why in the heck I am so tired (surely not b/c I am chasing twin toddlers!) I am a confirmed case of pregnancy. Rest easy, I've already had an early u/s and it is ONE jellybean, much to Jereme's disappointment.

Guess we really are crazy. You know, because we manage our two now so well, why not have another, right? Maybe I'll start trying to chase Michelle Duggar!!!

My own domesticated man...

Jereme has been on vacation since the 24th. It's been awesome to just have him around. It's been a full year now since he had any real time off. He's been great helping around the house and just loving on the boys. Tonight, though, the truth comes out. He was emptying the dishwasher on his own accord so he could clean up the kitchen (his words, not mine) and he looks at me and says,
"Good Lord, I have to go back to work. I am becoming too domestic."

Doesn't he know that there is nothing sexier than a man who cleans just because he wants to help????

Oh, and if you are around that sweet man of mine anytime soon and notice a peculiar smell, it isn't him. Well, not really, anyways. Gone are the days of wild nights out for New Year's Eve. For the 3rd straight year, we could be found at home, watching movies and not greeting the New Year in. But, this year, we did it in style...we bought a bunch of crab legs and made a feast after the boys went to bed. 2 days later, Jereme asks me if I've seen his cell phone around. I hadn't. Jereme walked the house calling his phone with mine. No luck. I sent him out in the backyard to see if it got left ouside. Hmmm, still no luck. I said, "you don't think it could be in the trash do you?" Mmmmmm, yummy the seafood lover in all of you will certainly appreciate that smell next time you see Jereme as his phone was buried in the bottom of the sack with all the crab leg shells and shrimp peels.
