You might be a redneck if...

*Your children consistently take off their shorts and diapers, IN THE FRONT YARD, and you're okay with it. Just smile and wave at neighbors!!

*Your children prefer going to the local Case IH dealer instead of the park. We can easily kill an hour there letting the boys run and scream with delight at all the tractor, loaders and "bines".

Oh, and eating chocolate donuts at our house is serious business!!

***Disclaimer: Jereme takes offense to me saying that "it's redneck" for the boys to love mowers, tractors, combines, loaders, etc so much. So, for the record, the man of the house says these boys are born farm kids...it's just in their blood/DNA. Redneck, farmer, whatever...

Doesn't get better than this...

Life doesn't get much better than this:

*Remember that kid in a few posts earlier who liked to take his diaper off? It doesn't get much better than changing a gross bed at 3 am b/c your kid is screaming his head off since he took off his diaper earlier in the night and made a huge mess in his crib.

*And, I spent this morning digging through our week's worth of trash before the garbage truck came. Why you ask? Well, because I couldn't seem to find my envelope of cash that is reserved for eating out and babysitters. There was quite a bit of $$$ in there and Lord knows I'll do anything to make sure I don't have to cook every night of the week. So, after digging through a whole week of poopy diapers, dog crap, kitchen trash sacks, I triumphantly retrieved my envelope.

I am living the dream, baby!!

P.S. I do have pictures to post. Maybe I'll do that here in a few minutes. Or, more likely maybe I'll just go grab some more M&Ms and read my book.

Speech development and Jereme's happiness

This morning, the boys FINALLY got caught up on their immunizations. It went over pretty well but what else can you expect when the nurse brings in suckers and stickers on the shot tray. Isaac took his like a champ, which is no surprise b/c he is obsessed, and I mean OBSESSED, with "uckers" as he calls them. We're just hoping (and praying/pleading with God) that when he decides to start using an initial consonant sound, that it will be the "s" and not the "f". Although, it would serve his often but not meaning to have potty-mouthed parents right, if he did!

And, our house up here desperately needs painted. Originally, we'd planned to do that this summer. But, those plans also didn't include a very pregnant gal with a husband traveling most of July either. So, I told Jereme that if we could get the house painted professionally for X amount of dollars, he was off the hook. I never thought it'd work out. But, I got the bid for it today and it was literally $100 under X. Damn, that didn't work out quite as I had planned...I was thinking Jereme on a ladder and me with a wad of extra money to spend. Ooops, there goes the potty-mouth again...

Just for the record, it is only my hormonal, somewhat compulsive behaviors that are having the problems with the binky, cribs and potty-training. Well, okay, maybe we get a few comments from people but unless you have met any of the aforementioned challenges with twins, well, I just go to my "happy place" and smile and nod while you are talking! HA!

Here's a good one from the ENT's office on Tuesday. Boys were dressed similar but had on matching coats. We are called to go in to examination room. Staff member and my conversation is as follows:

Her: OH MY GOSH! They are so cute!
Me: Thank you!
Her: Look at them, they match!
Me: Yes, sometimes they match and somedays we're just thankful they've kept their clothes on.
Her: Geez, they could be brothers.
Me: (Laughs) Good b/c they are brothers! Actually, they are twins.
Her: What? They are twins? So, they are the same age and everything?

Okay people, she was an RN. Did you read that? A Registered Nurse! If Dr. G wasn't so darn cute, I mean capable, I might have to consider another office!

And, just to add to the randomness of this post, since apparently I have too much spare time, I just found a countdown calendar online. I have 122 days left of being preggo. But, who's counting, right?????????????
