10 months old!

Baby boy is 10 months old today. I am not even going to lie and pretend like I am okay with that. He started waving today. Likes: Eating big-boy food, his daddy, momma, playing with the boys, snuggling, Bonner (our dog), laying down for his naps, everyone coming in when he wakes up in the morning, BINKY!!!

Two super sweet things I hear almost daily:
Isaac: Mommy, Mommy, Mommy, Moooooooooommmmmmmy!!!
Me: What, Isaac?
Isaac: Momma, I love you a lot!!

Jorden: Momma, you're my best friend.

I could go over the list of not-so-super-sweet things heard in some houses like: No, You stop bossing me, I'm not your slave, , , .

And, I could also talk about things like kids writing on walls, hurling dump trucks down the stairs, two boys beating the tar out of one another, constant destruction and mess, etc.

But, since none of that stuff EVER occurs at this house, what would be the point!? It'd probably just make you feel bad.

They haven't hog-tied me yet!!!

Jereme is out of town and I am trying to keep my head above water. Seriously. The last time he was gone all week, I only had 2 kids. Who still took 2 naps. And slept 12+ hours at night. I thought it sucked then. Guess what? It didn't. But, you know what? I'll guarantee you it does suck now!!

I love those stinkers to pieces, though. That's what's getting us through. And, maybe a lot of chocolate. And, maybe a little liquor. And, maybe some Benedryl. And, maybe...nah, I'm just kidding. Sorta.

I do have some great pics of the kiddos. Maybe tomorrow. Or, maybe not. I'm just in that kind of mood.

In less than one week, I'll be lounging around, laughing my head off with my VC girls. Have I seriously only seen them twice in the past year? How is that even possible?? Oh, right b/c between the four of us:
*4 husbands with varying work schedules/commitments
*4 girls living in 3 different towns
*8 children with one more due in the next 4 weeks
*7 of those 8 children are 3 or under

Do you know how difficult it is to coordinate our schedules??? We plan for months to get this done. I am so excited to see them, even if just for a few hours!!! These girls have known me practically my whole life. They know the good, the bad and the ugly...dear, sweet girls that they are can still make me laugh like no one else. You can bet your britches we'll be doing an overnight getaway as soon as no one is preggo or nursing a baby...which at this rate, could be a LONG time. But, I think after new baby arrives, 3 of the 4 are done having babies, so the odds are starting to fall in our favor.

See you girls soon!!!!!

Pop Quiz Monday

What do the following two items have in common?

Did you figure it out?????

This item used to open the back of my rocking, cool minivan.

Now, I have the distinct pleasure of opening the minivan with this.

First, nothing says sweet ride like a minivan. Second, nothing says super-sweet ride like an ugly gray FORD minivan. And, third, nothing says rocking, cool, super-sweet minivan like no handle on the back hatch.

Disbelief? Fear?

This is how poor Luke spends a good portion of his day. Doesn't matter whether he is in the pool, in the living room or on your lap. The pictures that follow are why he looks the way he does. I, too, often sit in disbelief (and maybe a little fear)...
